In the conference, Lu Weiding, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Group, delivered an important speech with the theme of "remain true to our original aspiration and make progress with gratitude."
Lu Weiding pointed out in his speech that a towering tree must have its roots, and the water around mountains must have its source, and although the times were changing rapidly, there were always some things that came down from the same strain and would never change. He asked us to remain true to our original aspiration and make progress with gratitude. He analyzed what the original aspiration was, why we shouldn't forget the original aspiration, who we should be thankful for and how to be thankful in detail. At the end of his speech, he pointed out that the Innovation & Energy-gathering City was a great opportunity as well as a major challenge along with major contradictions as well as major difficulties. What to do to overcome these things? We relied on the persistence of remaining true to our original aspiration and the strength of making progress with gratitude. He called on everyone to roll up their sleeves and work with added energy and serve as the doers worthy of the title of Communist, and to be the fighters worthy of the history, the times and the future.

In order to set up typical examples, encourage advanced members and fully mobilize the enthusiasm and creativity of party organizations at all levels and a large number of party members, on the occasion of commemorating the 97th Anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the Party Committee of the Group decided to grant 8 Party organizations including the party branch of Wanxiang Research Institute etc. the title of "Advanced Party Organization", to grant 30 comrades including Wang Dong etc. the title of "Outstanding Communist Party Member", and to grant 4 comrades including Zhu Baoen etc. the title of "Outstanding Party Workers". Lu Weiding presented the prizes to the advanced representatives.
The Party Committee hoped that the commended advanced party organizations, outstanding Communist Party members and outstanding party workers should cherish the honor, carry forward their achievements and achieve better achievements again. The Party Committee called for party organizations at all levels, the large number of Communist Party members and party workers to take the advanced as examples, give full play to the role of the fighting fortress and the vanguard role of party members in the grass-roots party organizations, be white-handed and self-disciplined, serious and honest, based on the position, pioneer and innovate, struggle and make progress, do more practical things, and make new achievements to build a good Wanxiang Innovation & Energy-gathering City, and create Wanxiang into a respected enterprise.

The conference stressed that party organizations at all levels and all party members should study carefully and deeply to comprehend the speech of the Party Committee secretary and the chairman, and should study the spirit of the 19th National Congress of CPC, study the party constitution and be a qualified Communist. The conference pointed out that there were many excellent party members around us, especially the old secretary Lu Guanqiu, who was the benchmark for us to learn from.
